Draft Year 7 Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness Report Status

Reaffirmation of Accreditation Report Chapter 1.C Posted - Request Your Guidance

Dear UAA Community,

As you know, UAA is in the final year of its institutional accreditation cycle and is compiling its Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness report, due to NWCCU in late summer.

The report responds to NWCCU’s Standard One - Student Success, and Institutional Mission and Effectiveness. We have already shared out the chapters focusing on Standards 1.A Institutional Mission and 1.B Improving Institutional Effectiveness. Thank you to those who provided guidance on those
chapters!

Though you will see there are sections still under development or waiting on documentation, we believe that 1.C Student Learning is at a point that will benefit from your high-level guidance. Please consider the following questions:

  1. Does the chapter adequately and accurately demonstrate how UAA is meeting each of the standards?
  2. Does the chapter reflect on how well we are doing relative to the different standards?
  3. Does the chapter provide a sense of where we are heading relative to the different standards?

We are interested in your answers to the above questions. Because the report will be edited at a later date, please do not focus on proofreading, wordsmithing, or broken or missing links.

Please read UAA’s responses to Standard 1.C and to provide guidance.

Deadline: May 9.

With great appreciation,

On behalf of the Accreditation Advisory Committee, its working groups, and the many individuals and groups who have contributed to the reaffirmation of accreditation efforts,

Carrie King, Terry Kelly (2020-2022), and Susan Kalina, Tri Chairs, Accreditation
